V look-alike idol makes his debut

An idol who gained much attention for his visual similarities to BTS's V has finally made his debut.

Earlier last year in December, Kwon Hyeop from the rookie boy group WAKER gained the attention of various online communities after his photos circulated the web. One image, in particular, caught the eye of netizens, leaving them in a state of uncertainty as they struggled to discern whether it was indeed V or not.

After his photos were released, popular online community users were in a heated debate regarding the resemblance between Kwon Hyeop and V.

Finally, on January 8, Kwon Hyeop took the spotlight again as he made his debut with WAKER.

Korean netizens have once again engaged in a conversation discussing whether Kwon Hyeop does look like V or not. They commented, "The first photo really does look like V but he always looked like that actor Choi Sung Hoon," "It's his hair and makeup that's making him look like V," "I don't think he looks like V at all," "I think he kind of looks like V," "He looks like V in some angles," "He copied V's style for sure," and "The first photo, I was really surprised but the rest of the photos and the videos, he doesn't look like V."
