Studio Dragon revealed that the Tving original drama 'Island' won the Best Original Digital Drama award at the 28th Asian Television Awards held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Based on a
webtoon of the same name, 'Island' tells the story of characters destined to fight evil forces that threaten to destroy the world. The series features well-known actors including Kim Nam-gil, Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, and Sung Joon, and was directed by Park Bae-jong, known for films like 'Welcome to Dongmakgol' and 'Fabricated City'.
Released internationally via Amazon Prime Video, 'Island' was a hit, entering the top 10 in 63 countries according to the ranking site Flix Patrol.
