TV personality and former U-KISS member Eli's ex-wife Ji Yeon Soo gave an update on her legal battle against the individual who spread false information about her.

On December 7, Ji Yeon Soo opened up about the legal battle through her Instagram, stating, "I want to address some recent events that have been causing noise and discomfort in my life, and have now been sorted out."

She explained, "There was a recent court decision regarding false information that damaged my reputation. I was rightfully acquitted, and the other party was fined. I initially wanted to clarify the situation, but due to the ongoing legal dispute, I decided to speak out once everything was settled."

Ji Yeon Soo revealed that she currently lives on Jeju Island with her son, Min Soo. She explained, "Currently, my son Min Soo and I are residing in a small town in Jeju Island. I am spending quality time with my child." She added, "It may not be the flashy city life, but I'll provide a detailed glimpse into my life. Please look forward to a future filled with laughter from Ji Yeon Soo."

Previously, an anonymous netizen posted on a broadcast bulletin accusing Ji Yeon Soo of lying. During a past broadcast of KBS's 'Capitalism School,' Ji Yeon Soo confessed that she had been struggling financially, living off loans, and had bad credit. However, the poster accused Ji Yeon Soo of lying and stated that they had supported her financially. 

The accuser claimed to have financially supported Ji Yeon Soo for six years since 2009 but suffered harm due to false statements she made on the broadcast. The author also alleged that Ji Yeon Soo unilaterally disclosed past behavior, causing harm to her ex-husband, Eli, and Eli's parents.

In response, SDREAM ENT, Ji Yeon Soo's agency, stated that there was a disparity in the claims and Ji Yeon Soo's financial situation. The agency asserted they have filed a lawsuit and are waiting for the results.

Meanwhile, former U-KISS member Eli married Ji Yeon Soo back in 2014. However, the two announced their divorce in 2020. Ji Yeon Soo and Eli have appeared on 'We Got Divorced 2,' hoping to reunite but ultimately decided not to.
