The CEO of PocketDol Studio, Kim Kwang-soo, has shown a willingness to reconcile with ex-Fantasy Boys member Yoo Joon-won, who recently left the group. Kim suggested that if Yoo Joon-won admits his errors and rejoins before the Tokyo concert, they could discuss moving forward together.
Yoo Joon-won, who won 'Boy Fantasy - After School Heart-throb Season 2' on MBC TV, initially joined Fantasy Boys, a group formed by Pocket Doll Studio. However, he departed due to a dispute over profit distribution and alleged unfair practices by Pocket Doll Studio.
Funky Studio, a subsidiary of Pocket Doll Studio, asserts Yoo Joon-won sought more profit citing his 'Boy Fantasy' win. Yoo Joon-won accuses Pocket Doll Studio of imposing excessive fixed costs and unprofessional behavior, eroding trust.
Yoo Joon-won's bid to halt his contract with Funky Studio was denied, as the contract mostly aligned with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's standard contract guidelines. Funky Studio is suing Yoo Joon-won for 3 billion won (2.34 million US Dollars) in damages.
CEO Kim plans to persuade Funky Studio to drop all lawsuits and cover their legal fees, citing potential harm to Yoo Joon-won's career. Yoo Joon-won's team has hired a lawyer for the damages case, with trial dates pending but expected soon.
That sounds right on the edge of blackmail to me...
