Yoo Jae Suk's YouTube channel, DdeunDdeun, posted a warning on the channel's community.
Lately, there have been instances where individuals falsely posed as members of a production crew from the YouTube channel in an attempt to obtain personal information from unsuspecting individuals.
On November 26, DdeunDdeun posted a notice warning of such incidents on the YouTube community.
The production team warned through the statement, "Recently, we have received reports of cases where individuals are impersonating the talk show 'Pinggyego' production team offline and approaching people for marketing purposes. Please be aware that 'Ddeunddeun' does not conduct events within the channel without prior notice, nor does it request personal meetings, interviews, or other personal interactions through such means."
According to the production team, there have been individuals posing as production staff to approach individuals to collect personal information, such as names and phone numbers, under the pretext of giving out prizes and conducting interviews.
In particular, the younger demographic has been a target for this incident.
'DdeunDdeun' YouTube channel warned, "If someone identifies themselves as part of the Pinggyego Production Team and requests 'sponsorship fees' citing reasons such as securing a venue, If someone requests personal information through email other than ddeunddeun@antenna.co.kr and plus@antenna.co.kr, Please be cautious and refer to the information provided above. If you encounter similar situations, we hope you take extra precautions to avoid harm. Thank you."
Meanwhile, 'DdeunDdeun' is a YouTube channel with 1.48 million subscribers, presenting web entertainment shows such as 'Pinggyego' where Yoo Jae Suk freely chats with his acquaintances and special guests.
'Pinggyego' has gained significant popularity with each new episode starring numerous top stars such as Cha Seung Won, Park Bo Young, Gong Yoo, Im Si Wan, and more.
