WayV have wrapped up the first-week sales for their latest album.
According to the data released by the Hanteo chart, WayV's 2nd full album 'On My Youth,' featuring the title song of the same name, recorded over 170,000 copies sold on the first day of its release.
During its first week, 'On My Youth' then accumulated 337,634 units sold, becoming the group's best-selling album in first-week sales. The record was previously held by their 4th mini-album, 'Phantom,' which had around 165,000 first-week sales, meaning that 'On My Youth' already became the band's best-selling album in the first week just on its first day of release.
In addition, WayV's recent album debuted at No. 4 on this week's Circle album chart with around 329,000 copies sold.
Congratulations to WayV!
WayV is a very good group, and despite the obstacles they had to face, they didn't give up, being able to perform at a very high level, even without 2 members.
Phantom was quickly sold-out but even though the fans asked SM Entertainment to re-stock the album, the agency didn't do it.
If WayV had been better managed and promoted by SM, they would have been as well known as nct127 or nctdream.
