In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Suzy commented on her satisfaction that people now perceive her not just as a pretty face but also value her acting abilities. The interview was in tandem with the release of Suzy's November cover feature for the magazine, showcasing her alluring charm in an autumnal setting. 

The magazine cover anticipates the upcoming Netflix series 'Doona!', a romantic drama adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name. The plot revolves around the life of retired idol Doona, played by Suzy, who meets Wonjun, an ordinary college student, in a share house. Suzy shared an emotional bond with her character, Doona, indicating, "Our experiences differed, yet, I felt a deep understanding of Doona's journey, which in many ways reignited memories of my early idol days."

During the candid conversation, Suzy gave readers a glimpse into her character's emotional spectrum. As she puts it, "In my early twenties, I didn't have the chance to truly understand or express my pain like Doona. My emotions were bottled up, unlike Doona, who allows herself to experience her emotions fully, even when they're painful. Doona also isn't afraid to show her somewhat malicious side that intentionally speaks harsh words. Ironically, this side of her persona is what makes acting thrilling." She hopes the audience would initially misunderstand Doona, but eventually empathize with her as the narrative develops.

When asked about her perception if she had led a typical college life like Doona as opposed to her real-life idol journey, Suzy jokingly replied, "I think I would have lived quite well, enjoying life perhaps more than most."

Reflecting on her career evolution, Suzy feels that her portrayal of the lead role in 'Anna' played a significant role in enhancing her acting credibility. She shared, "Gradually, I'm learning to trust myself more. Nowadays, people see beyond my good looks and appreciate my acting skills, which I find profoundly fulfilling."

Asked about her future aspirations, Suzy responded with an empowering statement: "I aspire to age gracefully, staying cool and maintaining my momentum. Instead of dwelling on the past or being overly anxious about the future, I aim to live in the present, wholly engaged in every moment, much like a mayfly. In doing so each day, I believe I will mature into a commendable adult."
