On October 18 KST, Lee Yoon Sang, the legal representative for Phunky Studio, rebuked the allegations made by the parents of Yoo Jun Won, a former member of Fantasy Boys. Jun Won's parents had taken to social media, launching serious accusations about the company's operational practices. Phunky Studio however, dismissed their claims as potentially defamatory and harmful to the company's reputation.
"The comments put forth by Yoo Jun Won’s parents could be interpreted as slanderous, which could substantially dent the company's image," said Lee Yoon Sang. He added, "This needs clarification: following the conclusion of the programme, I engaged in multiple dialogues with Jun Won and his mother about the contract. Despite the contract adhering to the Fair Trade Commission's recommended terms and conditions, the mother didn't make any effort to bridge the discrepancies."
Addressing the funding issues raised by Yoo Jun Won’s parents, Phunky Studio revealed that each member contributes approximately 2.7 million won per month, with deductions when sales are achieved. Frustrated over the mother's unwillingness to sign the contract, the studio proposed proceeding under her conditions but was declined.
What exacerbates the current scenario is Yoo Jun Won’s parents' excessive involvement in the agency’s matters. Instances include a fan concert held in Japan in July, prior to Fantasy Boys’ official debut. They expressed dissatisfaction over Yoo Jun Won not being in the center during a photo shoot, amongst other issues.
"The debut preparations were nothing short of a roller coaster, with interruptions and delays primarily due to Jun Won's parents' consent withdrawal. This resulted in substantial set costs, filming staff labor costs, various system costs, and penalties," stated Lee Yoon Sang.
His statement continued: “For Yoo Jun Won, we were open to amendments such as catering to minor members. Consulting with parents before making decisions is good, but it’s important they know their boundaries and not to intrude into agency operations.”
Finally, expressing mixed sentiments pertaining to the entire fiasco, Phunky Studio shared, “It's disheartening to see the situation unfold in this manner. Despite the hurdles, we were able to debut the group, something they earnestly desired."

Sorry but why even sign people if they can't even fund the project? Why do they have to pay that much a month? It's like they are paying them to be put to work LOL.
