Jimin's 'Like Crazy' sets new Spotify records as the Fastest Korean Song to surpass 600M streams & the Most-Streamed Solo Song by a K-pop Soloist on Global Daily chart
'Like Crazy,' Jimin's lead single for his official solo debut, has been on a record-setting spree since its release day back on March 24, 2023. The hit single has been making headlines for its impressive sales and streaming numbers on different music consumption platforms globally, its success being particularly prominent on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
Close to seven months after its release, the momentum of its success is still unperturbed despite all the new releases over the months, an attestation of his impact as a soloist. In the past few days, Jimin has achieved three new awe-inspiring records on Spotify with 'Like Crazy'.
On October 17, the song surpassed 600 Million streams on the platform, achieving this milestone in just 207 days. It thus set a new record as the fastest Korean song in history to reach this milestone, beating the previous record of 234 days held by BTS' 'My Universe'.
With this same milestone, 'Like Crazy' also set a new record as the fastest solo song by a K-pop soloist to reach this feat, beating the previous record of 474 days held by Lisa's 'Money.'
In addition, 'Like Crazy' extends its record as the most streamed Korean solo song of 2023.
Just a few days prior, on October 14, 'Like Crazy' had set another record as the most streamed solo song by a Korean/K-pop soloist of all time on the platform's Global Daily Top Songs chart. It is also the most streamed solo song by a Korean/K-pop act of all time on the said chart. It assumed this record on attaining 457 Million filtered streams on the chart, surpassing the previous record of 456 Million streams held by Lisa's Money.
In other news, 'Like Crazy' also extended its record on the Billboard Global 200 chart as the longest-charting song by a Korean/K-pop soloist on the chart (as a tie), having spent 29 weeks ranking on it.
On the Billboard Global (Excl. US) chart, it has also spent 29 weeks ranking on the chart to extend its record as the longest charting solo song by a Korean/K-pop soloist.
'FACE' album also ranks for the 29th week on the Billboard World Albums chart to also extend its record as the longest charting album by a Korean/K-pop soloist on the chart.
