Billboard recently unveiled its 'stock wealth' list revealing the stack rank of shareholders among well-known music companies globally. According to the report published on September 26, HYBE's Chairman, Bang Si Hyuk, emerged third on the list, just behind Spotify co-founders Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.
Bang Si Hyuk's possession of HYBE constitutes approximately 31.8%, making his stock holdings worth an impressive $2.54 billion (equivalent to approximately 3.4389 trillion Korean won). Billboard reported that this figure reflects a significant rise since last year when Bang's stocks were valued at $1.7 billion (about 2.316 trillion Korean won). They attributed this increase to HYBE's soaring stock price, enhancing Chairman Bang's position in the ranking.
Meanwhile, other K-pop industry heavyweights also made it onto the top bracket of the list. JYP Entertainment's Park Jin Young, followed closely as the 5th largest holder of stocks among the world's popular music companies, owning JYP stocks valued at approximately $559 million (or about KRW 756.8 billion). Additionally, Yang Hyun Suk, the General producer of YG Entertainment, ranked 8th with his YG stocks worth $199 million (approximately KRW 269.3 billion).
This data provides an interesting insight into the financial positions of the top players in the global music industry, ever more crucial as Korean pop music continues to explode in popularity. It further underscores the value placed on these companies and the increasing impact they have on worldwide musical culture and trends.

It's no surprise, with so many groups debuting one after the other and putting an absurd price on the groups' products, anyone would increase their fortune that way. 🙄🤷🏻♀️ Don't be surprised when he becomes the richest.
