ZEROBASEONE's Matthew and Taerae have tested positive for COVID-19.
On August 3, ZEROBASEONE's label WAKEONE released an official statement about the two members, stating, "On August 2, both members had mild body aches and took a rapid antigen test confirming COVID-19. They have no other symptoms besides a slight sore throat, and they'll be moved to a separate facility where they'll quarantine for 5 days to prevent the spread of infection."
WAKEONE further confirmed the other ZEROBASEONE members have tested negative, and unfortunately, the group had to cancel their filming for Mnet's 'M! Countdown'. However, the special MCs for 'M! Countdown' will film as scheduled. ZEROBASEONE will also be present for the '2023 saemangeum World Scout Jamboree K-POP SUPER LIVE' excluding Matthew and Taerae. The group's fan sign and video call event has been postponed as well.
Stay tuned for updates.
Hopefully they will be fine. But remember people do not take covid lightly even young people can get seriously ill and die from it.
covid unfortunately can have future side effects as it can cause heart damage leading to heart problems in the future or neurological deficiency aka long covid. An example that it's no joke? The absolute epitome of health and youth Minhyuk of btob an Olympic athletic idol was put in the icu by covid and nearly killed him twice while in hospital and took him a long time to recover. So be cautious, take care of yourself wear a mask or consider a vaccine. This disease isn't the flu or the common cold, those two won't miraculously flat line you out of nowhere or put you into.a quasi comma but covid will.
