AKMU's Suhyun recently expressed her gratitude to her fans who supported her unwaveringly.

On August 31, Suhyun posted a lengthy message on her Instagram saying,"'Love Lee' activities are coming to a close, and at this point, I'd like to have a sincere conversation."

She continued to write, "It' feels like it's been about three years. It was a long time for me, filled with moments that seemed to stand still. But now I made a promise to myself that I must live and I want to start living again." She added, "With the support of my family, friends, and colleagues who cherish and love me, I gained strength. However, I was also worried and afraid as I prepared for my comeback."

It seemed that Suhyun didn't want to show her darker side because she knew fans loved her bright and cheerful singing.

Suhyun then confessed, "I knew that many people loved the cheerful, happy me who always laughed and sang. I didn't want to show my current self and didn't want to be found in this state. So I rarely went outside, and as a result, I spent a long time confining myself indoors."

She continued, "But someone said something to me. They said that the reason people love AKMU is because we've grown up with the public from a young age, showing our genuine, honest selves as we change day by day." She added, "After hearing that, I made up my mind that for this comeback, I wouldn't pretend to be something I'm not. Even if I hear disappointing or hurtful comments about my current self, I decided to show my honest self."

Suhyun then expressed her gratitude for all the love and support she received during this promotion. She explained, "However, I received much more love than I expected. Reading countless words worrying about me, comforting, and supporting me, I received encouragement that felt so much more than I deserved. I was being cherished as a daughter, niece, sister, and friend by people who had never even seen my face properly. So, I felt that I needed to love and take care of myself more."

She also didn't forget to thank her brother, who also encouraged her to become active again. She shared, "To my brother who put in so much effort to support me and adapt this album to suit me, to the many broadcasting station staff who warmly welcomed me back after a long hiatus, to the company that trusted and supported me even though they must have been worried, and to our fans who cheered so passionately, I am filled with gratitude."

Chanhyuk's comment in response brought laughter. He wrote, "Hwaiting," "Next time you want to post such a lengthy serious message, get it checked first!" "Because there are too many paragraph breaks and some parts are a bit disorganized. Hwaiting!"
