IVE member Wonyoung's professionalism is once again garnering attention.
Back on July 12, music video director Son Seung Hee, who was in charge of directing the MV for IVE's "I Am", appeared on the MBC FM4U radio program 'GOT7 Youngjae's Best Friend Forever'.
On this day, the MV director shared a story from the "I Am" music video filming set that surprised many listeners. Director Son revealed, "I don't believe this has ever been mentioned before, but Wonyoung got injured on the filming set. She hurt her arm and had to get 7 stitches. That was the biggest scare I've had on a filming set."
She continued, "We had 2 more sessions worth of filming left, but since she got injured, I thought that the filming would be cancelled. But Wonyoung went to the emergency room two days in a row to have her stitches patched up, then showed up to the set immediately to continue the filming."
According to director Son, "She was so professional, not showing any sign that she was having a difficult time. At that age, too. The choreography for 'I Am' has some moves where they have to use their arms and extend them out a lot. I just winced watching her do those moves. It pained me to see her pulling those dance moves off with that injury."
Finally, director Son commented, "There are some scenes from the MV that would not have been possible if Wonyoung hadn't pulled them off with her injury like she did."
say what you want about Wonyoung, but anyone can tell this girl has persistence and works hard, not taking anything for granted or demanding princess treatment. she knows that visuals come and go in Kpop world, and she is determined to cement her position before the next big thing comes along. anyone who sits complacently depending solely on looks will definitely be eclipsed sooner or later - we have seen this happen to many visuals.
