Sulli's posthumous film 'Persona: Sulli' is anticipated to be released in South Korea as well.
On June 1, Mystic Story submitted the movie 'Persona: Sulli' for review to the Korea Media Rating Board. According to the revealed data, Hwang Soo Ah, Kim Ji Hye, and director Jung Yoon Seok took part in the production of 'Persona: Sulli.'
Earlier, Mystic Story had mentioned that they were engaged in overall discussions, including the release schedule, after the trailer for the movie 'Persona: Sulli' was released on the Netflix Brazil account last month.
'Persona: Sulli' is a posthumous project of the late Sulli, following 'Persona,' a short film starring IU that was released on Netflix in 2019.
Initially, 'Persona: Sulli' was planned as a short film featuring Sulli as the lead, directed by five filmmakers. However, production was temporarily halted when Sulli tragically passed away in 2019 at the age of 25 while two parts were still being filmed.
Sulli debuted as a child actress in the 2005 KBS drama 'Drama City: There is a Goblin' and later joined the group f(x) in 2009. Throughout her career, she appeared in notable films such as 'BA:BO' and 'Pirates: Bandit to the Sea,' as well as the drama 'To the Beautiful You.' She also left behind a legacy of famous songs with f(x), such as "Hot Summer," "Pinocchio," "La chA TA," and more.
