Netizens were not impressed by the concept for Choi Ye Na's new single album title track "Hate Rodrigo".

Upon the release of Choi Ye Na's highlight medley and teaser concept photos for her upcoming single album, many netizens expressed discomfort at the concept for the upcoming track that seemed to take a jab at the American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. Not only did Choi Ye Na's upcoming single album title track called "Hate Rodrigo" cause a stir, but netizens also noticed that many scenes and photos used for Choi Ye Na's upcoming album looked identical to Olivia Rodrigo's music video scenes and her  'Sour' album cover photo, raising eyebrows. 

Netizens commented, "Aren't they too similar in age for her to do a 'homage' to the artist?", "This is such low-level trolling", "Why would she use the word 'hate'?", "I get what she's trying to do, but did she really have to go to this extent?", and more.
