The first still cuts from 'A Time Called You' and 'Doona!' have been released and are raising expectations.
On June 6 KST, Netflix posted still cuts from the new upcoming drama series 'A Time Called You' and 'Doona!'.
'A Time Called You' (director Kim Jin Won, screenwriter Choi Hyo Bi) is a time slip drama that takes place when Jun Hee (Jeon Yeo Been), who misses her boyfriend who passed away, goes back to 1998 and meets Si Heon (Ahn Hyo Seop), who looks just like her dead boyfriend.
This is a remake of the popular Taiwanese drama 'Someday or One Day'. As the main leads did in the original, Ahn Hyo Seop and Jeon Yeo Been will play dual roles. Ahn Hyo Seop plays Jun Hee's boyfriend Gu Yeon Jun and Nam Si Heon, a boy from 1998 who resembles him. Jeon Yeo Bin is expected to show her delicate acting by portraying two characters, Han Jun Hee and Kwon Min Ju, who have the same face but opposite personalities.
In the released still, Jeon Yeo Been hugs Ahn Hyo Seop with her eyes lightly closed. The two smile sweetly at each other foretelling the sweet romance that viewers can expect to see. Expectations are growing for the time-slip romance of two people who long for each other across timelines.
Additionally, 'Doona!' (Director Lee Jung Hyo, screenplay Jang Yoo Ha), starring Suzy and Yang Se Jong, is a romance series about Won Jun, an ordinary college student, and Doona, a former K-Pop idol, who end up living together in a share house. It is based on a webtoon of the same name that became very popular for its thrilling subject matter of romance with an idol-turned-housemate and the delicate depiction of emotions that support it.
Suzy drew attention by earning praise for being perfectly cast for her idol background and unrivaled beauty. Yang Se Jong, who played the role of Won Jun, boasted a sharper visual since being discharged from the military and made people expect a unique chemistry with Suzy.
In the stills released, Suzy and Yang Se Jong are standing looking at each other in front of a merry-go-round. Interestingly, Suzy looks to be seemingly surprised, which added to fans' curiosity about what kind of romance will be depicted with Yang Se Jong, who is smiling widely. In particular, attention is focused on whether Suzy, who has received rave reviews for her acting ability, will be able to breathe life into a character once again with 'Doona!'
'Into Your Time' and 'Doona!' will be released in the second half of this year.
Added in my Calendar. For sure, next KDRAMA to follow.
