Spotify Sensation: BTS's Jungkook Surpasses 600M Streams, a First for Korean Soloists
BTS's Jungkook has been making history as he's writing records for Asian, Korean, and K-Pop soloists, with just his three singles (Stay Alive, Left And Right, Dreamers) released in 2022, without a solo album.
Jungkook has now become the first Korean Soloist to have a song with 600 Million streams on Spotify as his collaboration with Charlie Puth, “Left and Right,” has achieved the milestone. The song, which was released in June 2022, is also the fastest song by a K-Pop soloist to achieve this milestone.
The song has recently won the “Most-Performed Songs of the Year” Award at the 2023 BMI Pop Awards, which honors the top 50 songs that have received the most performances/ played in the U.S. in the previous year.
The global smash hit has also gathered many awards and nominations, including VMA Video Music Awards, PCA People Choice Awards, BreakTudo Awards, iHeart Radio Music Awards, Japan Gold Disc Awards, BMI Pop Awards, and more.
