NewJeans is one of the top 4th generation girl groups that have been making waves in the K-pop industry.
As soon as the girl group debuted, they took the K-pop world by storm and even caused a global syndrome with their songs. Quickly racking up a massive following, the girls will hold a fan meeting event this year.
On May 12, their agency ADOR announced that it was confirmed that NewJeans will hold their first fan meeting, 'Bunnies Camp,' on July 1 and 2 at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium in Seoul.
Avid NewJeans' fans quickly purchased tickets to the event.
According to the ticket purchase log, 60.6% were male, while 39.9% were female.
Looking at the age demographics, 22.1% of the purchasers are in their teens, 53.1% are in their 20s, 19% are in their 30s, 4.3% are in their 40s, and 1.3% are in their 50s.
Some netizens were surprised to see the results and commented, "It seemed like they had more female fans before, but now it seems there are more men going to the fan meeting," "Oh I thought more people in their teens would like then," "I think the ratio percentage is good," "They have a good number of female fans to male fans ratio actually," "I think this is a good balance," and "They are loved by the public and they also have a good ratio for their fandom."
It kind of makes sense that teens (or kids more generally) would be a smaller demographic just in the sense that a lot of them would be dependent on their parents' money and approval. I'm glad to see they have a fairly even spread though.
