'Dispatch' uncovers the shady dealings of Uzurocks + how Song Ji Hyo spoke up for employees to be paid

It was previously reported that Song Ji Hyo had terminated her contract with her agency Uzurocks and filed a lawsuit against them for unpaid wages. The amount Song Ji Hyo is currently owed is 900 million won, but there are other victims that the actress is more concerned with. Employees of Uzurocks such as Person A (217 million won), Person B (100 million won), Person C (210 million won) and much more.

Song Ji Hyo said of the situation, “I can live without that money right now. But the employees now have bad credit, their credit cards are blocked, and their cell phones are disconnected. The 2 million won Porsche lease payment for the CEO of Uzurocks is a luxury, but the 2 million won a month these friends should receive is a necessity."

So Song Ji Hyo is stepping forward because she's aware that if she calls the company out, it'll make the news, and more attention will be drawn to the issue so that the the employees might finally get paid for their work.

Upon an extensive investigation done by 'Dispatch', it was discovered that that it wasn't just the problem of non-payment of Song Ji Hyo's settlement money. Most of the business dealings was close to fraud. In the end, former and incumbent employees, including Song Ji Hyo, were harmed by CEO Park Joo Nam's lies.

It was revealed that while CEO Park Joo Nam rides a Porsche and is covered in luxury brands from head to toe, and boasts of billions of won, the truth is much bleaker. In reality it seems the CEO is constantly in severe debt, and overspending his means. In order to keep up appearances at the company, he started posting false investment news on his company's website to make the company seem much more successful than it was in reality. When Naver was asked about these articles, they responded by saying no such article was released by them.

The company was able to operate because whenever the need arose, the managers would put the charge on a personal card, then bill the company afterwards. Once Song Ji Hyo realized what was happening, she gave her own card to a manager to use. The manager said, "Jihyo unnie gave her a card. She used that card to pay for the on-site expenses."

Song Ji Hyo eventually chose to take legal action for the amounts paid, to which the company sent a 'debt repayment memorandum'.

Many employees were affected. Person A survived by breaking a savings account. "I couldn't make a living because my salary was delayed," they said.

Person B became a credit delinquent. They complained, "I couldn't pay off my card because I didn't have a salary," and "later, my transportation card was also suspended. I even received a notice of provisional seizure from the credit information company."

Person C also said, "I lived with the help of my parents." He was angry, saying, "When asked why the salary was delayed, he (the CEO) replied, 'The company is growing.'"

The stories of Person D and E were similar. It is said that they endured by using their credit cards. “I was relieved when Song Ji Hyo heard about this situation,” they confessed.

"It's not because I spent too much on my credit card. I used my credit card to work at the company. I didn't get a salary, I didn't get my expenses... But I can't even say anything out loud to the company. I'm afraid I won't get paid (overdue) money..."

Fortunately, because of Song Ji Hyo, part of the overdue salary was resolved. All that remains now is the April salary and March payment.

While Song Ji Hyo is fighting hard for the employees to get their due, the employees, on the contrary, were more worried about Song Ji Hyo's bills.

Person A said of Song Ji Hyo, "Last year, I had an accident. I underwent two surgeries, and the hospital bill came out over 10 million won. I couldn't afford to support at home, but Song Ji Hyo quietly paid for the hospital bill." They added that there were things he was more grateful for than money. "The caregiver couldn't come because of the COVID. Song Ji Hyo came at night to talk to me. She was by my side when I was admitted to the emergency room and when I was discharged. The hospital doctors were all surprised," they said.

Person F said, “Song Ji Hyo always took care of the taxi fare when the schedule was over. When the manager was busy, she drove herself to the site. She was not a celebrity, she was an older sister."

This is how every human being should be. I hope other artists are able to speak out and fight for the truth like Song Ji Hyo. I'm pretty sure a lot of companies out there are doing a lot of shady things.
