According to a report by Daily Sports on April 19, Sungmin will soon be making a comeback as a solo singer with a new trot song set to release in mid-May. The upcoming album will feature two new trot songs, marking a new phase in Sungmin's music career. Sungmin first gained attention for his unique vocal skills during his appearance on TV CHOSUN's survival program 'Mr. Trot 2' which ended in March. He now aims to establish himself as a full-fledged trot singer with this new album.

Sungmin originally debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005 and quickly gained a massive following across Asia. In 2014, he tied the knot with actress Kim Sa Eun and has since pursued a solo career by releasing several successful albums, including 'Orgel' and 'Goodnight, Summer.'
