Lee Seung Gi updated his Instagram story with a message to his fans following his marriage announcement.

On February 18th, Lee Seung Gi updated his Instagram story with his message to his fans in four different languages.

Earlier this month on the 7th, Lee Seung Gi announced that he will be marrying his girlfriend Lee Da In on April 7th. Although up until recently, Lee Seung Gi was a greatly favored public figure for his legal battle against his former agency Hook Entertainment, soon after his marriage announcement, numerous netizens began to problematize the fact that he would be "marrying into a family of scammers".

Many netizens believe the Lee family's current wealth came from Kyeon Mi Ri's husband Lee Hong Heon's manipulative business dealings including the 'LUBO Incident', which is considered one of South Korea's largest stock manipulation incidents. LUBO Incident resulted in more than 300,000 victims and many were said to have committed suicide. 

Regarding Lee Seung Gi's Instagram update, netizens commented:
