Whenever you are watching Korean dramas, have you noticed times when your favorite actor has taken on multiple roles? They may have acted as a twin, or it could have been just a crazy concept, but there have been times when actors and actresses have taken on multiple roles within one drama!
This is especially difficult because they have to handle two different personalities in the same drama, so they're pretty much doing two people's worth! This is only possible because these people are truly talented, and you can probably already think of some names!
So without further ado, let's check out some actors who were able to handle multiple roles within a drama!
Um Ki Joon - Defendant
Um Ki Joon took on the role of two completely different twins, Cha Minho and Cha Sunho, in "Defendant." It was absolutely amazing to see two completely polar opposite characters, and only Um Ki Joon could pull it off!
Jisung - Kill Me, Heal Me
Jisung showed up as a 17-year-old character Ahn Yo-seob who was suicidal but turned 180 degrees when he transitioned into an evil man of Shin Se-gi in Kill Me, Heal Me. He actually had not two... but six different identities, but that already shows how great of an actor he is!
Lee Ji Ah - Penthouse
We already know how great Lee Ji Ah was in the Penthouse series when she went from the classy Shim Soo Ryun to her bold twin sister Na Ae Gyo.
Ryu Hye Young - Law School
Ryu Hye Young showed two great characters as a law school student "Kang Sol" and her sister "Kang Dan."
Kim So Hyun - Who Are You? School 2015
Kim So Hyun, even as a young actress, portrayed that she was more than capable of taking on multiple characters by acting as an innocent "Eunbi" and a bold and aggressive twin sister, "Eunbyul."
Park Eun Seok - Penthouse
Park Eun Seok took on the charismatic role of Logan Lee in Penthouse and also displayed a different side of him when he showed up as his twin brother Alex in Season 3!
Yeo Jin Goo - The Crowned Clown
Yeo Jin Goo was able to express two different characters in this comedy-drama when he took the role of a lonely king Leeheon and also played the role of a person who doesn't know any loneliness - Haseon.
Song Joong Ki - Arthdal Chronicles
Were you surprised to see two Song Joong Kis in this drama? He was able to play Eunseum as well as his twin brother Saya and show two completely opposite characters.
Woo Do Hwan - The King: Eternal Monoch
Unlike many of the different characters above, Woo Do Hwan didn't play a twin, but he played two different characters in separate universes - a police officer Jo Eun Seob in the universe of South Korea and a captain of the royal guard of the Kingdom of Corea named Jo Young.
Moon Geun Young - Catch the Ghost
Moon Geun Young did a phenomenal job playing two roles as a subway police officer and also playing her lost twin sister, who was also suffering from a mental disability.
Seeing these names can make you realize why they were able to take on multiple roles within the drama -- they truly are talented and capable! We can only imagine how difficult it can be to take on two roles; one thing for sure is -- we thoroughly enjoyed these dramas!
