Chanel unveiled the animated character of BLACKPINK's Jennie, the ambassador of the luxury brand.
As part of the 2023 campaign for its fine jewelry 'Coco Crush,' Chanel released an animation video featuring Jennie, actors Margaret Qualley and Amandla Stenberg as characters for the advertisement.
Related videos are being released through the official website, Instagram, and YouTube. Prior to Jennie's video, 'Dear Destiny' starring Amandla Stenberg was uploaded on February 12, and 'Dear Goodbye' featuring Margaret Qualley was uploaded on February 15.
Finally, the video of Jennie was unveiled through the 'Dear Paris' video containing Jennie's animated character reproduced in 2D.
The character perfectly captured Jennie's characteristics, such as long black hair, a beauty mark between her eyes and her eyebrows, and small but thick lips. However, the overall image was somewhat different from Jennie in real life. In the video, Jennie rode a bike and roamed around Paris while wearing Chanel jewelry, exuding a free-spirited and intense atmosphere.
Coco Crush is a fine jewelry brand launched in 2015 by Chanel, targeting the younger generation. All the celebrities in the videos released this time were composed of individuals from 'Generation Z' (a generation born from the mid-1990s to the early 2010s), emphasizing the youthful atmosphere.
