SEVENTEEN Seungkwan

SEVENTEEN Seungkwan is very proud of his hometown, and he's known to be the Jeju-idol in the idol world! His last name, "Boo," actually originated in Jeju Island!

Oh My Girl Mimi

Mimi showed off her Jeju dialect when she made an appearance on "Knowing Bros," and it's no wonder she has a strange pronunciation issue!

Red Velvet Joy

Joy revealed that she was from Jeju Island through a fan meet. She stated that she was born in Jeju but raised in Seoul. 

Kang Mina

Kang Mina also showed off her cute Jeju dialect on Weekly Idol! Her bubbly personality and her Jeju Dialect make up an irreplaceable charm!

NU'EST Baekho

Baekho was often misunderstood that he wasn't using his honorifics due to his Jeju dialect. He revealed that he only talks in the Jeju dialect when speaking with his mother!

WJSN Dayoung

Dayoung is also from Jeju Island, and she stated that she lived near the famous Gogi-guksoo (meat-noodles) street - something Jeju Island is also famous for. She says she's an expert when it comes to gogi guksoo.

Soyou

Soyou actually sang the song "The Blue Night of Jeju Island" in the video above to pay tribute to her hometown. She says that she loves Jeju for the fresh air and the relaxed environment.

The Boyz Joo Haknyun

Joo Haknyun's family owns and manages a pig farm on Jeju Island that raises over 3,000 black pigs! What a family!

Did you know that these stars were born on Jeju Island? If you're a Korean, it's sometimes easier to distinguish because of the unique Jeju dialect, but for foreigners, it may be more difficult.
