Jin's single 'The Astronaut' is the fastest solo album to surpass 1 million copies sold in Circle Chart history

BTS's popularity is truly astronomical, as even the solo activities of the members are breaking records.

Previously, there were concerns for the group after they announced the members will be focusing on individual activities and will take a hiatus as a group. Since then, the members have been exploring their own musical journey and have been releasing solo albums. 

Jin recently released his single album 'The Astronaut,' which is a collaboration with the popular band Coldplay. The album was well accepted by the public and loved by fans as soon as it was released, setting new records.

It sold a whopping 770,000 copies in the first week of release, which is the most number of albums sold by a soloist. And as of November 16, 'The Astronaut' surpassed 1 million copies sold, selling a total of 1,024,382 according to Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart).

This set a new record as Jin's 'The Astronaut' became the fastest album to surpass 1 million copies sold by a soloist.
