It has been reported that (G)I-DLE's Miyeon is mourning a friend's death from the Itaewon tragedy.

According to a media news coverage, a number of passers-by reported to have sighted Miyeon pay her respects at the joint memorial center in Yongsan District. 

One of the victims was a woman in her twenties known to have been running a flower shop after leaving her job as a K-Pop stylist. Netizens projected that there must have been celebrities who were in contact with the victim. Since the sightings, netizens were now convinced that Miyeon was one of her close acquaintances. 

One of the passers-by shared: "Her face was covered with the mask but anybody could tell that it was Miyeon." 

Others also noted that Miyeon left flowers at the memorial center and dried her tears with a handkerchief for quite some time.

It was also reported that she was accompanied by two burly men, speculated to be her bodyguards.

Netizens who believed her to be Miyeon supported her for her kindness and efforts to visit the memorial center despite her busy schedule.
