Winning #1 on a music show in the K-pop world is definitely a special moment, regardless of what kind of artist you are. However, winning first place in a "BIG 3" music show is an even more memorable moment. A "Big 3" music show in South Korea is one that is televised on the big 3 television networks - KBS, MBC & SBS. Those music shows would include KBS's Music Bank, MBC's Show! Music Core and SBS's Inkigayo. 

The Big 3 music shows are considered more impactful wins because they are the shows that have a more competitive chart scope with score factors making it more difficult for an artist to win a music show. It may be easily achievable to get a #1 from these music shows, but some artists have had to wait tremendously long amounts of time to get their first #1 on these music shows, and it becomes an extra special moment to them when they're finally able to achieve the #1.

We were able to see some of the first-place reactions by these groups, and we can definitely see that it was a special moment for these groups. All we can say is -- their hard work has truly paid off, and it's great to see that their success is reflected through these chart wins! 

There are still numerous girl groups still waiting for their first BIG 3 win, and hopefully, they're able to achieve this feat. Since k-pop has become more competitive, with so much great music coming from so many different groups, it's definitely becoming more and more challenging to snatch that win, but we hope that all groups are able to achieve their dream of their first BIG 3 #1 eventually!
