On August 31, the Twitter user who leaked the alleged photos of BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jennie stated they will no longer upload photos of the two idols.
The now-suspended Twitter user known as gurumiharibo shared in a Telegram chat room, "A lot has happened in the past 48 hours, and important people have talked to me." Gurumiharibo continued to write, "After talking with those people, I have decided that I will no longer post any content about Jennie and V."
Earlier, fuel was added to V and Jennie's dating rumor when more photos were released after the two were allegedly seen driving together on Jeju island. One photo showed Jennie taking a photo of V in a waiting room, followed by one of the two idols taking a photo at V's home and another of the two wearing matching t-shirts. The leaker even said they had pictures of Jennie and V hugging and kissing.
After the Twitter user declared they would no longer share photos, K-netizens wondered the reasons why they leaked the images and why they suddenly decided to stop. These K-netizens gathered in a popular online community Nate Pann and shared their speculations.
K-netizens commented, "This person even threatened saying they have photos where V and Jennie are kissing, but they suddenly said they would stop. One reason is for money, the second might be they had a sudden realization and decided to change, or HYBE and YG sent in thugs to threaten them back, lol," "I think I would pay this hacker," "This person definitely was paid somehow," "Or this person never had those kissing photos to begin with and was bluffing," "I think they settled with the companies," "Or it's because they didn't get much reaction from the two celebrities themselves, so they gave up," "They were just seeking attention, they probably didn't have the kissing photos to begin with," and "The agencies called the leakers bluff but the leaker kept releasing more photos so they probably settled before the really spicy photos were released," "The agencies definitely reached out and settled since the hacker said they had kissing photos."
In conclusion the photos were probably real and the leaker was probably paid or something to stop sharing those photos.
