Zico explained the reason why he chose the concept that he did for 'Grown Ass Kid'.

On August 1 KST, Zico held a press conference for his new mini album 'Grown Ass Kid'. Zico stated, "I worked [on my album] with the hope that it would be added to many people's playlists. I made the album with my entire heart and soul, hoping it would bring joy to people's daily lives." He continued, " 'Grown Ass Kid' has the meaning of growing into a big kid after you are discharged from the army. Even while rapidly changing, there are certain things that don't change, such as my passion for music, energy, and identity....I brought out my past self and reinterpreted it in a new way."

Zico then talked about one of the things that stands out the most from his comeback album, which is his music video that shows his unconventional visuals. In response, Zico stated, "While I was thinking of a concept that people would never expect me to do, I suddenly thought of the 'Y2K Century End' vibes. I think it would be right to say it like this - I wanted to show you a slightly familiar but new [music]." 

Meanwhile, Zico will actively promote his album in various music broadcasts, festivals, events, YouTube contents, and more.
