US media site Variety recently published a list of actors, musicians, and content creators under the age of 25 who are making their mark in a business that is evolving and changing but still prioritizes raw talent.
Among stars, successful movies, and blockbuster series such as "Reservation Dogs" and "Stranger Things," Variety included BLACKPINK's Rosé as a high-impact world star.
Rosé was named as a New Zealand-born artist and was described as "a member of the all-conquering K-Pop group BLACKPINK" who is 25 years old and "familiar with the weight of expectations."
Variety also cited Rosé's philosophy regarding her solo career, which launched in 2021 with "On The Ground." In particular, Rosé said, "There are times when you feel a lot of pressure, but it's what drives us to create new sounds and push ourselves."
The BLACKPINK member also added, “I am constantly exploring new ideas and sounds, I am still in the process of defining myself.”
Rosé also stated that experimentation is key and that her solo debut feels “very empowering,” saying, “There are so many genres that I always wanted to explore.”
Variety's official account started following Rosé on Instagram recently, so more surprises are likely to come soon.
don't care bout haters/naysayers, FACT is Rosé is THE ONLY Kpop singer on this list, and Variety is well-established intl publication period.
