After announcing his departure from 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook,' Yoo Hee Yeol left a heartfelt letter to his fans explaining why his decision to leave the show was delayed.

On July 18, the singer-songwriter wrote on his fan cafe, "Thank you and I'm sorry," and told his fans he will be leaving all the programs he is on. He wrote, "I am leaving all the shows this week. Thank you to all people of Dabangmin (the name of the fan cafe) who supported and cared for me for a long time. I'm sorry I am telling you this now but the producers needed time to prepare too. There are a lot of people and a lot of circumstances of those whose livelihoods are at stake."

Yoo Hee Yeol continued to explain, "There are fans at the Dabangmin who were worried and frustrated but there are many more things that cannot be resolved immediately in life. 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' is a precious program that was made with sincerity with a small production crew and production cost. I hope that everyone will continue to watch over the last live music talk show so that it can continue well."

Yoo Hee Yeol continued to share, "I am desperately realizing by self-reflecting on myself that a person doesn't become wiser or deeper with age and experience. I am trying to see what point in life I am at and what I have left. I have changed from before and I am also exhausted" in regards to the latest plagiarism controversy.

He then apologized once again to his fans by saying, "Living in this world day by day is difficult enough and I am sorry I made it more difficult. I look forward to the day when we can say hello to each other again like before as if nothing happened. Also, please everyone, don't grow tired!!!"

I couldn't help but choose my words countless times and contemplate countless times even when giving this ordinary greeting at the Dabang (fan club name).
