Shin Dong Yup warmly comforted Wan Yihwa who recently lost her mother. 

On the June 25th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs', tenor Paul Potts and singer Wan Yihwa performed together. Wan Yihwa came to Korea as a refugee with her mother and siblings after losing her father back in 2015. She revealed her mother passed away a few days ahead of the filming of the 'Immortal Songs' after losing a battle with cancer. 

After the performance, Wan Yihwa said, "I performed on 'Immortal Songs' which my mother always wanted. I hope you could see me over from the above so I can continue singing." 

Shin Dong Yup, who also recently lost his father, warmly comforted her by saying, "I understand you'd feel hurt and lost after losing your mother but you'll understand when you get older and have your own children. No parent wants their kids to continue to bereave their passing. I guarantee your mother would want you to live your life as your usual self."
