On the May 28 episode of JTBC variety Knowing Bros featuring SEVENTEEN, a passing remark made by comedian Lee Jin Ho sparked heated discussions among netizens.
On the episode, the casts and guests played a game called "Look at the monitor" where they guess the person by looking at a picture.
When Jang Won Young's picture appeared on the monitor, Lee Sang Min immediately answered, "IVE."
After which Lee Sang Min made a remark, "It was our sister-in-law." It was then that Lee Jin Ho said, "She was my wife when during a skit," to which Kang Ho Dong demanded, "It's been a while, send her a video message."
Lee Jin Ho then looked at the camera and said, "Honey, how are you?"
However, after the broadcast, netizens flood the show's bulletin board, leaving comments that expressed discomfort of a minor like Jang Won Young being referred to as a "wife," or "sister-in-law." The comments goes, "I feel so uncomfortable with the sister-in-law's remarks made towards a minor," and "Do you think you can keep calling her your wife forever after a skit?"
On the other hand, there were also some netizens who found this to be making a mountain out of a mole hill, saying, "This is making a mountain...out of a molehill," "What do you think is wrong with this?" "Apparently it doesn't matter if minors wear revealing clothes, but this kind of skit is a problem," and "The broadcast's concept itself is where all the participants are of the same age, stop making such false accusations."
What do you think of this situation?
If they have an issue with this, they should've had an issue about it when the skit, where she actually played his wife, occurred in the first place.
