With more platforms arising, there are some that try to differentiate themselves by giving a more intimate space where idols will be able to directly chat with fans, such as the messenger app Lysn's Bubble.

Many artists have the Bubble app, where fans would be able to pay a fee to have their idols send messages to them. However, there has been a recent discussion in online communities where fans feel that this subscription base messenger is too much.

One fan explained, "I saw this post that one fan couldn't subscribe because of money issues so they felt left out. I feel like this subscription messenger divides the level in fans so I don't like it."
