Each K-POP group has their own unique concept that they maintain. Some of these groups go above and beyond with their concept and get praised for their performance. It's sometimes difficult to generate positive feedback from a concept change, especially if it is a concept they've been sticking to for quite a while.
Today, we'll be looking at three K-POP groups that have killed it with their concepts and slain their performance every single way! They are all known in the entertainment industry to be the concept-dols (concept idols) - Let's take a look and dive in further!
Sunny Hill
Sunny Hill was known for having a rather different concept than typical girl groups. It was almost like a girl-crush concept, and they slayed by showcasing fierce performances with every single song.
Of course, they also proved that they were capable of soft ballads with their sweet and charming voices.
And... they were just the concept queens when they released their folk concept song as well.
VIXX
VIXX absolutely killed it by showcasing a new concept with almost every single release. It was like watching all these different groups at once!
They knew how to switch it up from cheerful to fierce real quick.
Oh My Girl
Oh My Girl is known for their dreamy concept that attracted many fans. They are also considered late bloomers for reaching their peak somewhat later than most K-POP groups.
These girls are also know to have fun with their upbeat refreshing summer tracks!
And of course... they have their test trial experiment, which turned out to be a fan favorite for many.
And there you have it! Here were three groups that successfully claimed their unique concept. They have a vast following, and Sunny Hill, who isn't active anymore (besides their recent appearance on How Do You Play?) still has a large listening base because their songs are just that great. What did you think? Do you think these groups are worthy of being on this list? Let us know in the comments below of any other idol groups who are a concept-dol!
If you google 'concept queens' Red Velvet and Oh My Girl come up, they're pretty much the dominating groups of the title.
