Ballad singer Park Hyo Shin revealed the shocking reason why he has not been active for nearly three years and revealed that he is currently in a legal battle with his agency, Glove Entertainment.

According to a report on SpoTV News on the 15th, Park Hyo Shin has been in conflict with his agency since last year for reasons such as unsettled music revenue and down payment.

Park Hyo Shin changed to his new agency, Glove Entertainment, after his exclusive contract with Jellyfish Entertainment expired in 2016. Since then, He has released "I am a Dreamer," "Winter Sound," the drama 'Mr. Sunshine' OST "The Day," and more. He also actively appeared in musicals, 'The Man Who Laughs' and 'The Phantom.'

However, since 2019, Park Hyo Shin's activities have been sparse. He released two singles, "Goodbye" and "Lover," and had a fan meeting 'Park Hyo Shin STPD 2019 Love Bus: Behind the Scenes', and his solo concert 'Park Hyo Shin Live 2019 Love Bus: Are Your Love?' Thereafter, his activities were virtually non-existent.

It was revealed that Park Hyo Shin had been in conflict with his agency over financial issues such as his music revenue and non-payment since that time. In particular, it was revealed that Park Hyo Shin did not receive his contract deposit for nearly six years, which was promised at the time of his exclusive contract in 2016. He also complained that he had not received any payment for his fan meetings, concerts, or any fees from his album sales since 2019.

Last year, Park Hyo Shin requested his agency to terminate the exclusive contract, but his agency did not accept it, resulting in a major conflict between the two sides. Since then, it is known that the two sides continue to fight in court over the termination of the exclusive contract.

Park Hyo Shin informed his fans of his current situation recently by writing directly on his fan club webpage. Park Hyo Shin explained why he has not been active and wrote, "I couldn't even imagine that I would not be able to do any activities since the concert in 2019. It has become to a point where I am unable to receive any proceeds or exclusive contract money.”

He continued, "I tried to be patient over and over again and put forth a lot of effort to resolve the situation as smoothly as possible, but the situation keeps repeating and the wait time is becoming longer. I've decided that I can no longer stay with this agency."

Park Hyo Shin apologized to fans and said, "I'm in the process of finding the best way to solve this. There are still issues to be solved. I'm sorry for making you wait for so long, and I said that I would be a comfort to people but I can't so I am very very sorry. I pray that we will be together with smiling faces soon.”

Ugh, this reminds me of what The Rose went through with J&Star. Dear entertainment agencies: pay your artists! And if you can't, at least release them from your financially inept grasp! Ugh.
