On April 10, girl group ARIAZ's agency Rising Star Entertainment released a statement announcing that members Yunji, Hyogyeong and Yeori have decided to terminate their contracts and have also thus departed the group.
Meanwhile, the remaining members Sihyeon, Dawon and Jueun have decided to stay and will continue their activities with the company as musicians, actors and influencers.
Debuting in 2019, ARIAZ only managed to have a comeback last year in 2021 as a 5-member group where member Jueun sat out of due to malicious comments.
The full statement is as follows:
"Hello, this is ARIAZ's agency Rising Star Entertainment.
We would like to deliver a news that would come as a pity for fans who have gave support and love and stuck around even through the difficult times of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
On October 24 2019, ARIAZ debuted as a 6-member group consisting of Yunji, Hyogyeong, Yeori, Sihyeon, Dawon and Jueun. During the 2 years and 6 months the members were active as ARIAZ, due to COVID-19, the management deteriorated and the members had were stuck between frustration and hope, and have been hurt a lot.
With that, the agency has talked to the members and received feedback. We have came to the conclusion that after April 10 2022, ARIAZ's Yunji, Hyogyeong and Yeori will have terminated their contract and will be departing from the group.
Meanwhile, as Sihyeon, Dawon and Jueun renews their contract with Rising Star, we have decided that as ARIAZ, and within their own capacities, they will be continuing their activities in music, acting and as an influencer.
We would also like to ask for support towards Yunji, Hyogyeong and Yeori who has been active as ARIAZ members for 2 years and 6 months as they work to their own capacity to realise their dreams.
Also, we would like to ask for support towards Sihyeon, Dawon and Jueun's activities that would help them realise their dreams. We will be releasing more information on Sihyeon, Dawon and Jueun in a future announcement.
Thank you."
Wishing Yunji, Hyogyeong and Yeori all the best in their future endeavours.
I said it before and I'll say it again this is why smaller companies should really think before they decide toto debut a groupif they are not financially stable enough to properly manage and promote the group
