Last month, TWICE successfully concluded their North America tour in the states. The girl group's 4th world tour titled 'III' kicked off in Seoul last December 24-26 of 2021 and continued to the U.S. TWICE's U.S. tour ran for seven days from February 15-27 in different cities, including Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, and Atlanta.
TWICE was able to break records as their concert tour is now the most-attended North American tour by a Korean girl group. The record was previously held by BLACKPINK but TWICE broke it this year as over 100,000 people attended the North American tour.
Fans were ecstatic to hear the news and gathered to an online community to express how proud they are of the girl group. Netizens commented, "I live in New York and my co-worker, who is Chinese, bought tickets to two days of TWICE concert. They're really popular here too," "TWICE is so awesome," "I'm so proud of them," "I think among the girl groups they're at the top," "I went to TWICE concert, and they have more overseas fans than Korean fans. I never expected the overseas fans to sing all the songs," "This is so awesome," "Good for them! good job," and "They are totally the top girl group."
I went to the Los Angeles show and usually girl groups is mostly guys. Boy groups are mostly girls but twice concert was a good mix between girls and guys. Different ethnicities. Different ages… and fans are more welcoming than other groups fans
