BTS will only be allowed to fill 22% of the seats during their concert in Seoul next month

Jeon Yong Ki, a member of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee, recently disclosed 'popular music concert approval details since September 2021.' According to the details, it was confirmed that a total of 149 performances have been held since the 'With COVID-19' policy was implemented, in which citizens will be able to return to their normal lives with the COVID-19 pandemic. Under 'With COVID-19,' various activities such as concerts have been permitted with limitations such as the number of spectators.

The concert with the largest number of people is BTS's 'Permission to Dance on Stage-Seoul' concert scheduled for the 10th and 12th-13th of next month at Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The stadium's capacity is around 66,000, but only 15,000 spectators are allowed per performance for a total of 45,000 people over the three days.

Compared to the previous concerts that BTS held in Korea, the scale has been dramatically reduced. Just before COVID-19, BTS gathered more than 40,000 spectators for each concert date. However, due to COVID-19, only 15,000 seats, or 22.9% of the 65,599 seats available in the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex, can be used.

Although it is only 15,000 people, it is said to be the largest audience in Seoul since the outbreak of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism approved performances within 50% of the capacity of up to 4,000 people. However, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, "The BTS concert is an outdoor performance, so we decided to ease the limit on the number of people." He further emphasized, "We approved under the requirements that the number of quarantine management personnel should be 5% of the number of visitors at the concert. We will also conduct on-site inspections."

It has been confirmed that BTS ticketing will start on the 3rd of next month. Competition for tickets is expected to be fierce as the number of admissions has significantly decreased this year.
