Gaon chart has newly certified several songs, albums, and musicians for the month of November as a part of its certification system!
The Gaon certification system certifies the following categories in music: album sales (albums must have been released for at least 6 weeks to be certified), digital downloads, and digital streaming. Albums can be certified platinum for surpassing a total of 250,00 copies in sales, followed by double platinum, triple platinum, million, etc. Digital songs can be certified platinum for surpassing 2.5 million downloads or 100 million streams; certified diamond for surpassing 100 million downloads; or certified billion for surpassing 1 billion streams.
For the month of November, here are the K-Pop artists and their albums which have received certifications in sales:
Platinum - ITZY's 'Crazy In Love'
Double Platinum - BLACKPINK Lisa's 'LALISA'
Double Platinum - ATEEZ's 'Zero: Fever Part. 3'
Double Million - NCT 127's 'Sticker'
Triple Platinum - ENHYPEN's 'Border: Carnival'
Double Platinum - BLACKPINK Rosé's 'R'
Platinum - MONSTA X's 'Follow: Find You'
Triple Million - BTS's 'Love Yourself 結 - Answer'
In the downloads category, K.Will's "Beautiful Moment" from 'Beauty Inside OST Part. 4' has been certified Platinum.
Finally, in the streaming category, BTS's "Dynamite" has been certified Double Platinum, surpassing 200 million streams. Other songs certified Platinum this month included Shin Ye Young's "Why Do We Have To Break Up", Kyungseo's "Shiny Star (2020)", and Ariana Grande's "thank u, next".
