Doctor of Arts, author, and reporter Cha Min-Joo declares Jimin The Legend Maker in the latest issue of Cultura Magazine

In the November issue of Korean Culture and Arts Magazine Cultura, global superstars, BTS are featured as the main theme. In the issue, Korean Reporter, Author, and Doctor of Arts holder from the Hongik University, Cha Min-Joo, delivered a detailed analysis of member Jimin, who is the main dancer, lead vocalist, and producer of BTS.

In her article, she compared Jimin to Greek and Roman mythology heroes who fought all obstacles and hardships with their special powers and indomitable spirit to emerge conquerers. In her comparison, Jimin is declared a legend who could have easily achieved massive success independent of his position in the band. This is because, Jimin like the great heroes of mythology, has successfully carved his path through hard work, determination, and resilience to emerge the winner.

The author talked about Jimin's pre-debut story whereby he was the last member to join the band, enjoyed the shortest trainee period with Big Hit Entertainment, and faced the threat of almost being dropped out of the selection eight times. Through it all, Jimin's tenacious spirit allowed him to work desperately hard, brave each crisis and hurdle to exceed expectations, and finally debut as a valuable member of the band.

In fact, Jimin, whose vocals are praised for their unique quality, sweetness, emotional and powerful delivery, was achieved through rigorous self-training. He never got any professional vocal training and had to work on them independently. Jimin also used to practice the longest, leaving the studio after everyone else had left and arriving earlier than all of them in order to perfect his skills. He has on numerous occasions revealed that he has complete confidence in his abilities and can always make his own way and achieve his dreams by painting and actualizing them out.

There was a strong emphasis on Jimin's hard work and perseverance all through childhood to adulthood. He excelled in his studies and various forms of dance, something that earned him a place at the prestigious Busan Arts High School. Even after debuting, Jimin persists in hard work, getting no satisfaction until he has achieved his desired goals.

In this sense, Cha Min-Joo summarized her article with an elaboration of how the success of overcoming difficulties through hard work and the right attitude that seeks to defeat evil as the archetype of every hero story. Jimin, who is the hero and legend in real life, is continually working to overcome obstacles on his own in the never-ending quest for success and perfection.

“I believe people who paint their dreams become more like them.” - Now that quote sounds familiar, Mr. Jimin :)
