BTS Jimin’s solo song “Filter” continues to chart high on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales more than a year since it was released.
On May 18, Billboard released the World Digital Song Sales chart for period ending May 22, a weekly chart ranking of 25 best-selling digital singles in the “World Music” genre.
Jimin’s solo song “Filter” climbed four spots to No. 6 on its 61st
week in the chart.
“Filter” ended the week as the highest-ranking BTS’s song and the highest-charting Korean solo song.
It is also noteworthy that "Filter" continues to be the highest-charting Korean solo song from a group in Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart’s history. It has reported to have charted inside the Top 10 for 49 weeks out of its 61 weeks tenure in the chart.
“Filter” is Jimin’s solo song from BTS’s fourth full-length album, Map of Soul:7 which was released on February 21, 2020. It has peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales in October 7, 2020. It became BTS’s 23rd #1 song in the said chart.
“Filter” is undeniably popular in the United States. Earlier in March, the song officially sold more than 300,000 units in the USA and became the best-selling BTS solo song and B-side that was released in the year 2020.
"Filter" has recorded more than 153 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform.
Korean media reported that “Filter” ranked 1st
on Amazon’s best-selling song list in the first half of 2021. In 2020, “Filter” also ranked 1st as Amazon’s best-selling in the first half of 2020 and it remained at the top of the list until the end of 2020.
Jimin’s Filter remained to be the most popular solo song and b-side track from BTS’s Map of the Soul:7 album and has continued dominating both global streaming and music sales.
