NCT's 'NCT Resonance Pt. 1' sells over 1.5 million albums, surpassing 1st-gen group H.O.T for the highest album sales by an SM artist

Lining up with NCT's 5th debut anniversary, the group has achieved another milestone in their career. Their 2020 project album, NCT Resonance Pt. 1 has surpassed more than 1.5 million copies sold as of the first quarter of 2021. This makes it the album with the highest sales by an SM artist in history.

The record was previously held by SM Entertainment's 1st generation boy group H.O.T with their album 'We Hate All Kinds of Violence' released 25 years ago. 'We Hate All Kinds of Violence' sold 1.5 million albums since its release in September 1996.
