BlackSwan’s Brazilian-Japanese member, Leia, has recently received attention from international fans as she announces she supports the LGBT community.

In response to a tweet from the group’s official Twitter page, a fan asked if the members were in support of the LGBT community as this fan was gay and was aware the group had many followers who were also part of the community.

This reply was then met with a response from the official page of the group saying “of course” showing the groups’ support. This tweet is a little bit mysterious, however, as it wasn’t marked as being from any of the members, so it is possible it was another member responding or it was the management. However, because of the emoticon used, it is suspected to be from member Fatou as she commonly uses the same one in her posts.

Things got even more interesting as there was another response from the groups official page. However, this time, the response was marked with the member who was saying it and that member was Leia!

This goes to show how she openly supports the LGBT community and it’s refreshing to see in kpop! 

This isn’t the first time the group has shown support for this community as other members have also responded positively to similar questions in the past. It is unfortunately unclear who the other tweet was from, but it’s safe to say BlackSwan are a group who openly support the LGBT community. It’s good to know the members feel this way, but also that the company is allowing them to respond to these questions. It is always great to see kpop idols supporting this community and hopefully more idols can continue to have the ability to express their support more openly in the future!
