Earlier today, the rock-inspired group Dreamcatcher came back with the powerful title track 'Odd Eye' accompanied by their 7th mini-album, 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia.'
This album not only represents the final piece of the Dystopia trilogy, where the girls try to find their way to a better world, but it also marks the return of their seventh member Handong who was stuck in China due to the pandemic. Remarkably, the group recorded over 45,000 album sales on the first day alone. Fans were extremely proud when they realized that this is near 15x the amount that the first album in the trilogy received. Early last year, 'Dystopia: The Tree of Language' was Dreamcatcher's first full album and recorded just over 3,000 first-day sales, and their next album, 'Dystopia: Lose Myself,' sold 24,000 copies on the first day.
This is especially important for the group as they are not widely known amongst the Korean public because they cater to a niche market. Fans are hoping this will lead to the group's first win four years after debuting.
