STAR CONTRIBUTOR
It has been recently revealed that Jimin is officially credited as one of the composers and writers for track 6 called “Dis-ease” on BTS’s upcoming album “BE.” Jimin has co-written and co-composed the song along with other members such as J-hope, RM, and Suga, as well as Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and Ivan Jackson.
Earlier, Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) updated and Jimin has been officially credited as the Lyricist and Composer
for the track “Skit,” another track on the upcoming album "BE," along with the other 6 members.
Jimin now has a total of 8 tracks credited to him on KOMCA.
Meanwhile, outside of KOMCA, BMI had credited Jimin as a songwriter/composer of Dream Glow too.
Further, Jimin was credited to be in charge of “Artist & Repertoire (A&R)” of the upcoming album. As such, he did talent scouting and has overseen the artistic development and acted as a mediator between the company and the artists.
On several occasions, Jimin announced that he has undertaken the role of a Project Manager for the new album. He consistently provides updates on the process of making the album and considerably raised the expectations of the fans.
According to Jimin, every member took on a different role. During his latest live broadcast, he humbly explained that his role was to act as an “intermediary” between the members and the company. It is his task to organize the great ideas of other members and present them to the company. In return, the company would give feedback, which Jimin will then discuss with the other members. As a project manager, Jimin’s responsibility was to ensure that music and production will get approved by both members and the company.
Well done Jimin-ahhhh! I'm so proud of ya!
