NCT recently held their fan event where select fans got to meet the members and speak to them for 2 minutes
While most fans were having fun respectful interactions with the members, one NCTzen took it upon theirselves to try to “educate” NCT on their alleged cultural appropriation
Members like Johnny, Yangyang, and Shotaro were targeted during this. This post was made by someone who caught the footage from the original video holder who deleted their posts after getting called out for it
While some stans on Twitter encouraged it, many both on the site and off of it weren’t pleased. Especially with how they targeted Shotaro, who debuted a month ago, way before certain allegations were started
It’s also been said that some of them spam NCT’s VLive making rough demands
Some comments from netizens on Allkpop forum
- Lmao Nct is going to stop doing online fan events really soon
- What did they even do? Like I don't understand. People who throw around CA as lightly like this are prolly the same ones who think scolding someone is 'bullying' them.
- Im furious and disgusted at my own fandom
you have 2 minutes to talk to your Idol and you're trying to """educate"" them this way ?
poor YY it was so awkward
when you're so woke you'd rather educate and school your faves instead of like having a real conversation with them.....I feel bad for the boys >:
- They want to be woke THAT badly that they seem more concerned with finding CA in anything and everything, that they’ll waste opportunities to meet their favorite idols just for the sake of uplifting a woke ego
Look forward to more from NCT as they will soon drop the part 2 of their album as OT23
I think those idols should have a right to just hang up if they feel uncomfortable
