Australian bushfires have swept the nation with its worst ever bushfire catastrophe killing millions of wildlife as tens of thousands of people flee regional NSW and Victoria. Homes have been destroyed, thousands are stranded or are in limbo waiting for emergency crew for rescue, and at least 20 people have died including two firefighters whilst battling the blaze.
To put this in perspective, it is estimated that more than 4 million hectares of land has burned in NSW and over 900,000 hectares in Victoria with flames as dangerously high as 70 metres, equivalent to the height of Australia's iconic Sydney Opera House (65 metres).
The Australian BTS ARMY were quick to respond starting up the BTS Army Fire Fund, and within 3 days ARMYs from all over the world have contributed to raise well over AU$12,000 towards the relief fund. The money raised will go to organisations supporting local firefighters and volunteers who risk their lives on the front-line, also towards rehabilitation of Australian wildlife and communities affected by the devastation.
Truly amazing to see the generosity of fans unite to make a difference! If you'd like to know more, you can check out the below BBC News link.
Well-done ARMY!! A huge THANK YOU to all those who have donated to the cause, no contribution is ever too small! And to all Australians, our prayers are with you.
And ppl say ARMY IS THE WORST FANDOM TO EVER EXIST? Let me tell you this fandom donates a lot to the charity, plants trees and raises money for earthquake victims IN THE NAME OF BTS. But all you ppl talk about is it's toxicity. Just so you know, ARMY is a huge fandom which uses this benefit to raise money for a good cause for the society and yes there are toxic ppl in it as well. But aren't there toxic ppl in every fandom? Especially in this site, I see a lot of anti-BTS trolls who are fans of other k-pop groups. Now you all explain the toxicity of these fans.
