TWICE's Chaeyoung was revealed earlier today to have co-wrote and composed a b-side track on the group's upcoming Japanese album entitled "& TWICE"
The announcement delighted the fans as they have waited for TWICE's main rapper to finally release her first composed song. Although she has written several songs for their Korean tracks, Chaeyoung had mentioned in a past interview that she's eagerly studying how to compose songs. When asked about solo plans, she said it will be more meaningful to her to make efforts in composing a song for her group rather than work on solo music.
In an interview posted today, it was revealed that the album's title "& TWICE" means "limitless possibilities and being able to do collaborations as part of the group's growth". The album also aims to convey to their fans the thought "always together with TWICE".
On her first work as a composer, Chaeyoung excitedly shared via Instagram that she worked on the song "How You Doin" with another composer, Frants, at the end of 2018. It is the first time that a member participated in writing and composing a song for their Japanese album.
In her interview, she said that "How You Doin" is a breakup song inspired by sincere feelings of someone who wants to know how the other is doing after parting ways with hopes of hearing "I'm fine" or "I'm OK".
TWICE's upcoming Japanese album will be released on November 20.
Told you she is not a baby anymore, chaeng chaeng chaeng.
