Congressman Ha Tae Kyung of the Bareun Future Party has strongly criticized the vote-rigging controversy of ''ProduceX101'' (Mnet), which recently surfaced.
On the morning of July 24, Congressman Ha shared on his personal Facebook, "'ProduceX101' vote manipulation is classified as unreasonable recruitment and job scam. Because there are many reports requiring truth verification, I have tried reviewing the content once."
Then, he pointed out the evidence, "It can be almost confirmed that the result of the vote was fake. The number of votes from 1st rank to 20th rank is a multiple (1st rank multiplied by 178, 20th multiplied by 38, all the same) of constant 7,494,44 (0,05% of the total votes). When I asked the mathematicians around, they said the possibility to get the combination of these 20 numbers from 1st rank to 20th rank is nearly 0% in math. This means that the voting results had been programmed aforehand."
Congressman Ha Tae Kyung of Bareun Mirae Party mentioned the recent controversy of vote manipulation of "ProduceX101" (Mnet).
The Congressman Ha exposed, "I'm not sure whether actual rankings were changed by vote manipulation. We only know that once the actual results come out. However, the vote manipulation of such an audition show for the youngster is an obvious job scam and unreasonable recruitment. They cheated and hurt fans - who sent messages to vote for their idols."
Finally, he emphasized, "We definitely have to rely on the investigation of the prosecutor side to clarify the truth of this case.''
Besides, the final ranking announcement took place in the live broadcast of the finale of the audition show ''ProduceX101'' (Mnet) on July 19. When 11 trainees were selected for the debut line-up, viewers and netizens expressed strong suspicion of vote cheating based on the repeated difference between rankings.

If it is proven the implications for MNET would not be good because basically isn't this fraud? Legitimate fans paying money to SMS vote would have been defrauded, not to mention the trainees. And of course the viewers, like me, who believe we are watching a fair and legitimate competition.
I wonder what the investigation will reveal if anything...
